This past Sunday I had the fun opportunity to head over for High Tea at the Fairmont Château Laurier in the heart of downtown Ottawa. With the Royals one-year anniversary this week, I wanted to go in true British style with Shepherd's fashion!
Shepherd's just opened their new flagship store in Trainyards off Industrial Rd. It's absolutely stunning and offers a one-stop-shop for women of all ages, with a boutique styled ambiance and service.
Kim was the birthday girl so I wanted to make her feel like a million bucks - my inspiration was Audrey Hepburn & 1940's style. Dress, fashion jewellery, statement hat and sparkly clutch are all available at Shepherd's.
I wanted to wear something totally out of my comfort zone so I chose a beautiful printed shift dress (which is reversible by the way!) and this incredible Toronto-based designer hat - perfect for a day at the races, and some tea!

My mom is petite and I didn't want to overwhelm her with a hat, so I went with this delicate fascinator as the perfect touch.
The food at the Château was delicious, offering crumpets, biscuits, an array of loose leaf teas, sandwiches and of course yummy desserts.
