{Leather Limbs}

When you're wearing this much leather, it's important to break it up with other fabrics like linen, cotton and even plastic (shoes that is), so the leather isn't overwhelming. When you use fabrics that are also textured, it breaks up the leather - complementing the look rather than over doing it.

{Citrus Comeback}

I never thought I'd see the day where I would wear yellow pants... but alas, here I am. With coloured pants continuing to be a huge trend in fashion, I thought these from Vero Moda (for only $49 CDN) would be a great summer staple. 

Because it's such a bold colour, you have two options: keep it neutral (like I did with variations of blue & white), or colour block (which you'll see soon enough!).

{Peek-A-Boo}

This skirt from Jacob might be my best buy yet for summer (next to my sun hat from Joe Fresh for only $9!!). 

It's cotton with stretch so it's UBER comfortable without taking away from the style of the skirt. I wanted to make this outfit all about the striped skirt so I went for a black and white theme (a usual trend suspect for spring).

{Colour Pop}

Colour, colour and more colour! 

The warm weather is officially here... and with that in mind, I thought I'd put on bold pieces that are must-haves for spring! Pink, purple and orange are such punchy hues that I wanted to put them all in one outfit to really stand out.

{Struttin' It}

I told you I loved this jacket... it's the perfect outerwear piece for right now. Not too hot but still keeps me warm in the cool mornings, this jacket is the bomb (yes that's right, I just said that). This outfit is really an everyday look for me, it's comfortable, practical, but still stylish.

{Heavy Metal}

It's still spring and nights can be cool so I opted for dark tights with these sequin shorts (can't wait till it's warm enough to go bare legged!). I added a silk key hole top and statement earrings from Le Chateau to add a bit more drama to the outfit.

{Soft & Sheer}

Maxi skirts are pretty frickin' sweet... especially ones that are sheer - gives the look a bit more softness and sexiness simultaneously. During a transition between seasons, try mixing something summery (insert maxi skirt) with a knit sweater for warmth. With all the pretty pastels in this look, I added tribal prints in both the bag and scarf to dirty it up a bit.

The much anticipated MET Gala in NYC was last night and wow... the celebs who hit that carpet did NOT disappoint (well... a few did... but for the most part, pretty amazing). Here were my favourites of the night.

{Orange Highlights}

I'm currently obsessed with my new spring jacket from ZARA. Cargo and leather in one? What's not to love! The best part about it, is I can easily dress it up with a tunic and tights (see above) or I can dress it down when I'm working in the trenches of styling (see below).

Another fav item of mine is my Daryl K tunic - she's a designer from NYC and has an amazing shop right in the heart of Soho. If you're ever in that neck of the woods, I highly recommend the trip - their leather leggings are TO DIE FOR.
