Erica ON Fashion {Mellow Yellow}

These citrus coloured waxed pants were a summer staple. I loved toning it down with basic tee's or dressing it up as you see here.

Fall Must-Haves: The IT Colour, Bordeaux

ALDO Bordeaux Suede Pump, T by Alexander Wang Leather Mini, Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Affair Bag, Dannijo Donesia Bib Necklace, Current Elliot Skinny Denim, Helmut Lang Jersey Dress, ASOS Velvet Stud Slipper Shoes, Tory Burch Envelope Clutch

Move over red and burgundy, there's a new colour this fall with a sexy new name... Bordeaux. This colour is rich and ravenous - a great new addition to your fall staples. I've highlighted some of my fav's above (how adorable are those velvet loafers?!) to help get you started for the season.

Erica ON Fashion {White Out}

Summer's coming to an end so I thought I'd pull out an all white look before I have to transition certain whites (the shorts & sandals mostly) into the back of my closet.
If you're doing a white-on-white look, make sure you break it up with a belt (I did so here in silver) and add a pop of colour (like the ribbon in the hat). It not only makes sense, but it adds dimension to your outfit!

Fall's Must-Have Neutrals

... these may be neutral in colour, but they're anything but dull. With prices ranging from $100 - $1,000, these are some of my favourite fall "gotta have it" items.

The Suede Ankle Bootie: Opt for a derby grey instead of a classic black to add a little extra to your all black look. These babies can go from day to night, work to dinner, weekend getaways to hangin' with friends. Laces can also add some fun so don't be shy to hop on that bandwagon.

The Not-So-Classic Crossbody: Leather and chain are always in style for fall/winter, and add a bit of rocker edge to any look. This crossbody can be worn as a clutch with a cocktail dress or as an everyday, street chic bag. Grab it in black and it will literally go with EVERYTHING.

The Printed Ballet Flat: Whether it's zebra, leopard or polka dot, prints are all over your feet this season. I particularly love the leopard print as it's such a rich fabric that warms up even the coolest look. These babies also have a patent leather toe for a touch of glam. They're a total must.

The Statement Earring: I was always one to invest in statement necklaces, but now I'm urging friends to invest in some wicked ear pieces. These are especially cool as they're a mix of black and gold. I'd love to see these with a hot pink dress and black cut-out sandals. WARNING: Before you buy, make sure you hold them in your hand - you don't want to get a pair that are heavier than what your ear can bare!

Polka Dot Pant: It's time to move the pattern from the top to the bottom. These sexy numbers would look fab with a bow blouse and a knit sweater, or a blazer and striped top. Whatever way you decide to wear it, these are fab finds for the office.

The Textured Peplum: Let's be honest, the peplum continue's to climb the charts of popularity so now it's time to do something truly unique. This is definitely for the more fashion-forward type, willing to take risks, all in the name of killer street style.

Tortoise Sunnies: The heat may fade but the sun sure doesn't! Sunglasses are always a smart investment as they're worn year round. I'm loving the new and more subtle versions of the cat eye... it's got a beautiful vintage appeal that I just can't get enough of.

The Crepe & Leather Blouse: I'm always looking for new ways to reinvent old staples. I get bored easily in my closet and hate wearing blouses that look drab. Insert this fabulous crepe and leather mixed top and viola! problem solved. This looks amazing with leather pants/leggings, pencil skirts or A-line skirts, layered with fitted blazers and even work with fitted turtlenecks!

Hope you're inspired! Happy Shopping All!

Erica ON Fashion {Leggin' It}

There's probably only about a month left to wear summer shorts, so I figured I'd wear them as much as humanly possible! And on that note, neutral pallets can be a great way to make your summer tan really stand out...so while you still have it, FLAUNT it!

Add an unexpected pop of colour with your accessories to make this look truly unique. I did so here with beautiful robin's egg blue earrings and a lilac coloured purse.

Erica ON Fashion {Embellished Classics}

I love wearing black and white together with pops of shine. There's just something about it; adds a certain sophistication to the look (even when you're a goof like me!). This is a great look for an evening out, but can easily be transitioned into work by changing the shoe to a simple ballet flat!

Leather will be HUGE again for fall, so if you haven't bought a pair of faux-leather shorts yet, now's the time to do it - they work beautifully with tights for the cooler weather!

Erica On Fashion {Sequins & Stripes}

I was eager to show you a way to wear sequins during the day, and although there are other more subtle ways of doing so, I thought I'd go all out with this J Crew collection number.

This is a fab office look - in fact, I wore this exact outfit back in May, attending a meeting in T.O! Just ensure that if you're going with something bold on the bottom, you balance out the "loud-ness" of the skirt, with big jewellery or a statement jacket on top (or you can do both, like I did!).

Erica ON Fashion {Hot Dayz}

I'm all about texture when it comes to creating outfits, but in the summer it can be a lot more difficult to achieve (especially when it's been over 30 degrees every day!). Here I did faux leather shorts and a crochet top - this allows breathing room and adds the dimension I'm looking for in an outfit.

**Important note: if you're going to do a leather short in the summer, ensure it's lined - I cannot stress this enough - you don't want the shorts sticking to your rear as you stand up from a lunch date - that's got disaster all over it!**

Banana Republic Launches Anna Karenina Capsule Collection

Banana Republic, in partnership with Focus Features, is creating a Banana Republic Anna Karenina collection – a special holiday capsule styled and curated by twice-Academy Award-nominated Anna Karenina costume designer Jacqueline Durran.

Designed by Banana Republic, the capsule takes its inspiration from the 19th Century fashions featured in this fall’s new movie vision of the epic love story, re-imagined through a modern fashion lens. The Banana Republic Anna Karenina collection launches exclusively at Banana Republic North America retail locations and online in late October, building up to the much-anticipated movie debut this November. Anna Karenina reteams Academy Award nominee Keira Knightley, starring in the title role, with acclaimed director Joe Wright (Pride & Prejudice and Atonement).

I don't know about you, but I'm loving the faux fur hat for the ladies - and the men's collection is beautiful! Look forward to seeing the collection in stores!
